Intensive Outpatient Programs
Treatment provides patients with core skills to cope with life’s challenges.
The Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) at PBHS offer in person and virtual group therapy in a safe, supportive, and validating environment. Treatment provides patients with core skills to cope with life’s challenges and effectively manage mental health and addiction problems.
Our IOPs meet three times per week for three hours. At PBHS, we practice true Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Groups focus on developing skills to help create a life worth living through validation and support, while enabling patients to be more mindful and live in the present moment, manage their moods effectively, deal with stressful situations, and interact in assertive and productive ways with significant people in their lives.
Development of Core Skills:
- Mindfulness
- Distress tolerance
- Emotion regulation
- Interpersonal Effectiveness
- Self-management skills
- Relapse prevention strategies
IOPs are offered for both adolescent and adult patients and are covered by most insurances.
